PUP’s punk rock shows both lightness and levitation

Punk rock band PUP performed at Newport Music Hall (722 N High St, Columbus, OH) on April 2, 2022. The sold-out show was electrified, energized by the new release of PUP’s new record, ” THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND”, the day before. Their music sometimes referred to as fun punk, the Toronto band drew a fantastic crowd eager to get carried away, so to speak, when it was their chance to crowd-surf.
The show was the second of the PUP RETURNS THANK F*CKING GOD US tour with support from pop-punk band Pinkshift and indie rock band Cloud Nothings. Cloud Nothings performed at the Nelsonville Music Festival in 2017, and band members Dylan Baldi and Chris Brown performed an acoustic set for WOUB’s Gladden House Sessions.
