Los Angeles duo The Dollyrots, consisting of bassist/vocalist Kelly Ogden and guitarist Luis Cabezas, are known for delivering high-energy punk rock filled with pop’s bubblegum hooks. Since their first release in 2004, the band have honed their sound, musical chops and fun show, blending hook-laden pop-rock gems with a vicious guitar onslaught and plenty of attitude to spare.

Today the band are proud to announce a new limited edition 7″ pink vinyl in partnership with independent label juggernaut Cleopatra Records. Following in the footsteps of Weezer’s cover of Toto’s “Africa” and The Atari’s cover of Don Henley’s “Boys Of Summer”, the Dollyrots transform a soft rock classic, “Alone Again (Naturally)” recorded originally in 1972 by Gilbert O’Sullivan, as a fun and catchy punk rock anthem! This track is accompanied by an original song entitled “C’est pas encore tout”, which highlights the double threat of the group as arrangers and writers!

“We’re thrilled to partner with Cleopatra Records to release our version of ‘Alone Again (Naturally)’. The best covers are the ones that turn heads, and what we’re doing is drastically different from the original. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to inject velocity and punky chewing-gum energy into a 70s classic that deserves to come out under the radar!- The Dollyrot
