Avril Lavigne flaunts her signature pop-punk style in new photoshoot
April Lavigne stays true to its stylistic roots.
On Wednesday, the 37-year-old traveled to instagram to share some snaps from her latest photoshoot promoting her new single, “I LOVE IT WHEN YOU HATE ME” and fans are loving that she “hasn’t changed at all” over the past two decades.
“I ignore all the warning signs. I fall in love with you every time. Don’t call me baby. I LOVE IT WHEN YOU HATE ME,” she captioned the Publish.
The photos won plaudits for her new song, cohesive aesthetic, and for her seemingly ageless skin.
“Miss Avril, you haven’t changed one bit and I love that. That’s consistency for me. Not to mention you don’t look a day older since the era of ‘Sk8r Boi'”, a fan commented.
“Yes, Canadian Queen! Love the new song! So excited about the album. Your classic pop-punk style is so iconic and so nostalgic,” wrote another one. “Thank you for being you and never changing.”
“I love these photos so much. Your wardrobe is perfection.“
“Queen of never growing old”, someone else intervened.
“Punk Princess!” another one wrote. “Seriously, you haven’t changed at all. Thanks for never selling out. Your song is awesome and so are those pictures.”
“You don’t look a day older than 25.”
In an interview with Weekly entertainment in December 2021, Lavigne shed light on reviving her pop-punk princess title, two decades after the release of her debut album, “Let Go.”
“It’s so crazy”, she said. “I really went back to the sounds that influenced me early in my career. Deep down, I’m a small-town kid who listened to bands like Blink-182 and Green Day and NOFX in high school, and I tapped into that. I just felt like it was time to make this type of album.
